A serial entrepreneur and angel investor, Jochen Doppelhammer is considered one of the world’s leading mobile industry experts and heroically right-brained executives.

In his most recent market success Jochen founded the mobile operator business for KPN in Spain, and as CEO led the business from concept to market launch through to profitability. Acting in addition as Chief Commercial Officer for simyo España, the largest brand in the portfolio, he outperformed the competition with a dynamic and innovative Internet-based strategy that led to 10% segment penetration within 24 month.

With a lifetime career working in and travelling to over 40 countries, speaking fluent German, English, Spanish and French, Jochen merges astute cultural insight and technology forecasting with seasoned business experience to accurately reveal opportunities and lead them to fruition.

Jochen Doppelhammer has led global companies to reset strategic priorities, implement multi-brand marketing strategies targeted to relevant segments, develop discount sales channel and Internet distribution models, negotiate wholesale contracts and build international low-cost mobile operations including outsourcing customer service while gaining and maintaining superior quality.

Jochen’s career spans over 14 years in which he has held leadership positions with mobile operators and management consultancies, including T-Mobile International, Colombian mobile operator startup, Oliver Wyman, Node and Viant.

As a management consultant his clients have included Mobilkom Austria, Telefonica, Mobily, Etisalat, IBM, Emap (British FTSE 100 media company).

Jochen began his career at Accenture working to create new solutions for gaining business and market insights for consumer packaged goods companies.

Jochen continues to advise telecom industry leaders on innovation and transformation, helping them to develop successful strategies based on the creative application of leading-edge technologies. In addition he is serving on the boards of several Internet startups.
